"Sex and the City" is barely more than a fad Chick Flick

Sex and the City (The Movie) - 2 Stars - (Average)
Before the afternoon, even the male film reviewers who normally avoid such films as "Sex and the City" feel a sense of obligation to see what everyone is talking about.
I had heard that if you were a man and saw this movie in a theater, which outnumbered 20-to-one, so I opted for a solution to Netflix. About half of Sex and the City I said: "There is certainly a story here somewhere part. "For a film that is cut just 2 minutes from a distance of 2.5 hours, took the time to do something more cheerful to qualify as a movie chicken.
Problem may have been a Sex and the City "based on Candace Bushnell's book was written, directed and produced by Michael Patrick King, who wrote and led a ton of episodes of the popular HBO television series of the same name. Rarely, if ever, a good idea for both writing and directing a film, the result big screen is filled with big egos who have tried unsuccessfully to master the creative process. King is no exception.
When you are trying to write about sex and love in the Big Apple can do no better than to use the bathroom humor and some vulgarity out of place to warm up the audience, you are courting disaster.
Focusing on someone poop in their underwear for comedy, and sling around the f-word inappropriate, suggesting King is as personal life. Surely There is more talent to write here that is evident in the script.
I'm in the film and the relationship was disappointed by it. On the one hand, reactions the characters are exaggerated beyond reality and seems to lack real depth is significant. In too many cases, the characters were not psychologically ie not associated properly in certain situations.
A better script would have King scored as better performance. This film was some less heady nominations for "Best Summer 2008 Blockbuster Best Poster" and "Summer Movie So Far" (it is serious, man?), and obtained exactly what he deserved, zero awards.
For the eye candy of the film, we writer Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), three times a day-machine Sex Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), confessed happy mother and wife Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and tense, moody self-centered lawyer Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon).
When these four come together, is just a barrel of laughs and misery. I'll spare you the details of the story. Suffice it to say that things work themselves enough in the end.
If you want to cozy up to a group of women over reactionaries who are confused about a lot of things, Sex and the city is your ticket. If nothing else, you will see a fashion show with much emphasis on appearance and very little about the background.
