Choose a dog breed: medium dogs

Looking for the perfect dog. A Chihuahua is too small and a Great Dane is too large. Something between a squirrel and a polar bear would be fine. What are the best breeds of medium sized dog? It's a good idea to research different dog breeds before making this important investment. After all, if your pet is going to be part of the family, he or she will have to pass all tests.

Springer Spaniel, I have a bias towards these races in both the English Springer Spaniel and Welsh Springer Spaniel. Growing up, our family dog was a 'brown' and white Springer Spaniel. This breed is energetic and cheerful, but also good manners. These dogs are very good with children and great family pets. Very athletic, would help have a yard in the purchase of this breed. They require regular grooming.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier-The secret is out. This race is becoming house in a popular dog and pet of the family. With bangs covering her eyes, this dog looks like a small gold Sheepdog. They are energetic, but with good manners more like the Springer Spaniel and less like a terrier. They are not always good with very young children and small pets. However, they are good for families with older children and can do well indoors, but trained. They require regular grooming, but not making them throw good for people with allergies.

Beagle Beagle When I think, I think of the famous Red Baron himself, Snoopy, of course. This smallish hound pet makes a great family energy and playful. They do well with children and other pets. They require regular grooming and exercise. The beagle would rather have a patio.

Border Collie-These cute dogs are believed to be the most intelligent breed of dog. They are also one of the highest energy. Border Collies were bred to herd cattle. That require a lot of exercise and attention. These dogs are not great around children and small pets. These dogs well in athletic competitions agility. No apartment dogs and require regular grooming.

English Bulldog, Bulldog is often confused with pit bulls. This race of face flat and robust however, is much softer dog. English bulldogs good with children and can do well with other pets. They love human attention and can make good guard dogs. They require regular grooming.

Cocker Spaniel, handsome and intelligent these dogs can make excellent home pets. Not so good young children, but gets along well with other pets. They are a race a little temperamental. Her long hair requires regular grooming. These dogs are energetic and playful and need regular exercise. With proper training and attention that are sure to be happy and loyal pets.

Chinese Shar-Pei-These dogs have distinctive black wrinkled faces and languages. They are adorable, but actually were bred as guard dogs. They are loyal family dogs, but are not good around children and other small dogs. Shar-Pei make excellent watchdogs and good family dogs. Your grooming and exercise needs are minimal.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier-The 'Staffie' is a stout and athletic dog. The fighting days are far behind them, and today they house and loyal family pets. They are good with children, but generally not with other pets. They are good watchdogs and can not do well in an apartment if they get enough exercise. Regular exercise is a necessity, but the preparation requirements are minimal.

Jack Russell Terrier-adorable pooches These distinctive black and white (often so) layers. Unaware his short stature, which are bold and brave. A very active breed that require lots of exercise and attention. These dogs are not good around small children and other pets. Not much preparation is needed. They make faithful watchdogs.

Dalmatian-black spots on their white coats these dogs recognizable. This is a versatile breed with many talents. They make excellent watchdogs and good family pets. Not recommended around small children, but they can do well with other pets with proper training. They like human company and require regular exercise. There are apartments and require dogs regular grooming.

Chow Chow would be fair that the name of this dog fluffy. The Chow is a dignified and thoughtful race that has an independent streak. They are good dogs family, but distrustful of strangers. These dogs are not good around small children and generally not getting along with other pets. Chow Chow require regular grooming. They require minimal exercise and can be apartment dogs if you take short walks regularly.

Basset Hound-Ears long Basset Hound flexible do not like it was. Apart from these dogs are great around children and good around other pets. They are soft and lazy dogs They are wonderful family pets. Basset Hound shed a lot and requires some preparation. Regular exercise will keep these dogs are overweight. They are prone to howl from time to time and can be watchdogs.

Australian Shepherd-The 'Aussie' actually originated in the U.S. Western values like a dog. Are dogs versatile, high-energy. The Australian also excels in agility competitions. They are intelligent and loyal dogs that like getting things done. These Dogs are not apartment dogs need at least one backyard. Preparation requirements are minimal. They are known for their multi-colored eyes.

Sussex Spaniel These dogs are low-built and sturdy spaniels. They are reddish brown, or gray with a little curly hair in his ears. Usually, they are calm and gentle and can be good family dogs. With training, which can be good around children and other pets. They require regular grooming. Apartment dogs but can be required regular exercise.

Corgi-The corgi is a very special dog long and low, with large ears upright. They are intelligent, energetic and vocal. They do well in inside apartments and if you exercise enough. Dogs are protective and good with older children and other pets. Preparation requirements are minimal.
