10 ways to calm anxiety and reduce stress

Anxiety attacks are not always composed of a sudden, debilitating bouts of depression, melancholy, and concern as some have us believe. As a matter of fact, anxiety and stress is that is most worrisome creeping up on us gradually in the course of our daily lives. Instead of being a hammer blow of fear and stress, most telling forms of anxiety are more like sand caught between the cogs in a machine that slowly wears away at until it stalls or falls apart.

To this end, dealing with anxiety is best done before the break. For people already in the stages of anxiety heavier, it is best to seek professional help. However, for most of us, not too then do something to alleviate our stressful personally before they get worse. Here are ten tips that can help you take in that direction.

1) Focus on the solution, is not the problem - most people anxieties come from thinking so much about what goes wrong to lose track of what they can do to straighten it. Focusing on trying to find a positive solution to a problem not only more productive, but also helps keep your mind out of the question "things bad "that can happen and stress out.

2) Focus on the logic - the anxiety or stress is mainly caused by our emotions. Always crops than any stressful situation, our first are natural responses by emotion, as long as joy, laughter, worry or pain. When problems arise, deal with the problem logically rather than emotionally. This allows solutions to be more effective and not affected by personal biases and as avoiding anxiety.

3) Find a hobby - this is an easy thing to implement. Hobbies can, to some people seem to be a waste of time and resources. However, hobbies, weather in the form of music, exercise, read a book or whatever, we can relax and take our minds off of the routine "daily" that can contribute both to our concerns. Nothing is too "stupid" to be a hobby, if you actually like doing it.

4) Improve your sense of humor - in fact it is a truism that laughter is one of the best medicines in the world. Taking things too seriously because a lot of anxiety. Complaining about any and everything is a sure way to get wrinkles before you're old (who add their own concerns and anxiety). Learn to laugh at the world, the things your around, and even (perhaps most important) to itself and its concerns. If you can find something fun, even the most stupid things that happen you, your anxieties, together, pack up and leave for a long vacation.

5) Baby steps - when handling situations, do not forget things one step at a time. Trying to plan everything ahead of time makes you lose track of this, and after a worrying about things that have not even happened yet. Not There is nothing wrong with contingencies that for almost all the possibilities, but it is best to focus on the here and now. Looking too far down a path tends to make you lose banana skin in the foot ...

6) Murphy's Law has a point - well, so maybe the saying "what can go wrong will go wrong" no something designed to make you relax. However, this can be modified in a way. Things happen from time to time we prefer not to do so. You have two options: agonize them (anxiety and give yourself heartburn, and hemmoroids) or do something about it. Work in and plan the things you know you can do something about it, and just ignore and deal with things that you can not.

7) Half full or half empty? It's both! - Most people say "think positive" to deal with anxiety. This is not always possible. blind optimism that things will work out cause tons of anxiety when they finally NO. On the other hand, cynicism and certainty things that go boom in your face is not a healthy way to think well. Expect the best, but do not expect, and plan for the worst while the concerns about what set swamp.

8) Hamsters are your friends - Okay, I'm half kidding. In fact, it is true that people who have pets, especially warm, fuzzy, adorable, tend to get knocked out by the stress the antics of his friends. If you're not an animal lover, however, do not hesitate to reject this option.

9) Avoid music and movies to its end Kick - There are certain moments life has a soundtrack. When just ditches, is almost an absolute certainty that the radio will something corny and appropriate with a vengeance. However, we must get out of our way to amplify this cosmic phenomenon. Well, if you have concerns about certain things, not hang out with people engaged in routine passing them all the time complaining about it. Find people who have gone through things that bother you, but have come through it with their skins intact. You'll learn useful things and you know that no matter how bad things get there is always an end in sight.
