Fashion history: Minoan Crete

Minoan dress was one of four styles that led to the development of Greek dress. Also influenced clothing industry in the coastal regions of the Black Sea, the eastern Mediterranean and parts of inner Asia. It is accepted that the concept of cutting emerged here, Cretans were the first to wear tight clothing. The hat also originated in Crete.
