The booming world of dvd rental industry
the DVD rental industry was born in the last decades of the 20th century. Around 1999, companies began to come up with the idea of online DVD rental system. The system soon became a great success because it provides comfort without charge.
The convenience of ordering from a movie house became very popular. And with extras like cheap rent, no late fees and no due dates, what was actually found with the market. Even not including shipping and viewers can order online 24 hours a day from a large collection of movies.
From the moment the DVD rental industry has become very trendy and old-fashioned DVD rental store in general, all kinds of extra charges. The online system immediately became popular as the viewer did not have to go anywhere to see their favorite films.
The process of ordering the DVD became simple as never before. The viewer had to visit the website of the DVD rental company, getting a membership and choose from list of movies available on the site. You can then order for the film and the films will be served by first class mail to him at any time everyone. Somehow the DVD rental industry has given great impetus to the postal system also all countries.
The DVD rental by mail idea was developed by the U.S. film Netflix, launched in 1999 to harness the power of the Internet and cheap and easy delivery of DVDs by mail, while the elimination of late fees or any hidden charges. Netflix was the first to introduce online DVD rental and was able to obtain a patent on this business idea. They are the pioneers in the industry DVD rental online. Netflix is the ideal model for the industry and remains the dominant company in the U.S.
Another industry giant DVD Rental, Lovefilm, only controls 23 percent of all DVD rentals worldwide. Lovefilm delivered out more than 2 million discs per month. It is a UK based company that offers multiple types of membership plans and the facilities.
The other big player in the DVD rental industry is Blockbuster, which controls more than one quarter of the market and has a greater emphasis on its Internet division, probably as good quality as their brick and mortar store. Blockbuster said a million online customers in August 2005, two million in March 2006, and ended the first quarter of 2007 with three million euros.

And the DVD rental industry this excessive growth is likely to continue for at least several more years, and that goes for the big picture, making many video shops middle road in the process.
