THE TEEN FASHION INNOVATORS search begins in a city near you!

$ 230,000 in scholarships to students wanting a career in fashion offered by the Institute Art and ELLEgirl Magazine

PITTSBURGH, (16 August 2005) - The search is on! The Art Institute and ELLEgirl magazine for seniors who dreams of a career in fashion to join the "Teen Fashion innovative search and compete for $ 230,000 in scholarships.

In each of the 16 participating Art Institute locations in North America, high school seniors can attend events to learn more about the "Teen Fashion innovative search "and how to enter. For upcoming events at your local Art Institute, visit: www.artinstitutes.edu / teenfashion.

One national winner and one Fashion Design in Fashion Marketing & Merchandising will be selected to receive full-tuition scholarships, each worth more than $ 30,000 to study at the School of Art Institute of their choice.

To participate, students must be a high school schedule to graduate in 2006. In the Fashion Design category, each entry will feature an original design by the student in the form of a finished garment or accessory. In category Fashion Merchandising and Marketing, a finished product or plan must be submitted.

The Innovator teen fashion contest is a collaboration between The Art Institutes ELLEgirl magazine and to encourage talented young designers.

"Design classes in secondary schools have become career incubators, giving students the opportunity to refine what you're interested in either fashion design, patternmaking or textile design, "said Bruce Dempsey, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at The Art Institutes. "From there you can grow that interest at design school, and turn that passion and hard work in a successful and rewarding career.

In addition to winning a full scholarship, the grand prize winner of the students attending the February 2006 New York Fashion Week with ELLEgirl editors, as well as appear in the pages of the magazine.

According to Christina Kelly, editor in chief of ELLEgirl, "In ellegirl, we recognize that great design has to start somewhere, and for many young men and women, that passion is nurtured by right in high school. "

Entries must be submitted on 11 November 2005 involving the Art Institute of their choice. Jobs must include registration form, registration of qualifications with a minimum GPA of 2.0, short essay, finished product or plan and either a book design process or written description of the marketing plan of fashion.
