Fashion Week in London: A tour of the track
If New York Fashion Week was a snowstorm, ice whites, then designers London radiated a tropical sun hot pinks, bright tangerine, yellow highlighter and muted tones of the sea on the catwalk.
Basically, spring / Summer 2011 collections on the runway in London this week could be described in one word: color. And lots of it. A few notable designers who use the dominant color in fashion including Mary Katrantzou, Michael van der Ham, and Jonathan Saunders, as New York Times fashion editor Cathy Horyn said. Although he admired the bold use color, criticized his originality of style and ability to meet its global vision. Point taken.
However, London remains vibrant catwalk this season with a decent variety of style and, of course, color. Some other points of interest (pun intended) this week:
Burberry: The luxury fashion house neglected Brit which opens as a complete collection, but who cares, even? Burberry at the fair, the infamous name managed to attract a lot of A listers such as Alexa Chung, Andy Murray, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Andy Murray.
Bailey, Christopher Bailey showed a hard look peculiar with nails, leather motorcycle inspiration Dark tights and miniskirts.
Deacon, Giles Deacon is known for extravagant fashions inspired by ordinary materials, and this season his designs stayed true to form. He used strips for prints and accessories, so the bridge appeared to be a kitsch, beauty pageant full of trash.
Kane, Christopher: Kane designs was true that the color theme for the week. He combined intense colors with fine materials in unexpected ways. Although the style was a little strange, was architecturally interesting and original.
Kirchhoff, Benjamin: Put a manic performance of lace dresses in bright colors, sometimes mixed with civil khaki, but it could be his way of keeping his sanity and freedom, while others just want to earn more money.
Pilotto, Peter elegant dresses draped in almost sculptural showed great delicacy. Eager to contain the glamorous,
Schwab, Marios: Schwab designs were perhaps the greatest stand out of all: a beautiful combination of silk dresses, short women and rough skin. It was simple, elegant and edgy.
All in all, this London Fashion Week season can be described a triumph of color, with the occasional burst of creativity.
