Men's Fashion

After the Second World War, 1940 emerged as a dramatic change in style and elegance, especially in title = "men"> men fashion. This was the decade's most innovative and vital in regard to men's fashion and style. Many people and designers to consider this decade as a breakthrough in men's wear.

In this article, I will briefly discuss an overview of all designs and styles that were used in this specific time. In the 1940s, the strict rules and measures adopted at the clothes. Designers and manufacturers had major challenges, especially in the U.S. and UK. People prefer simple textures and clothing that is functional. They do not wear dresses and decorative trim, because the increasing damage of war and psychological pressures. People were more concerned about social issues and policies rather than the ordinary, such as clothing. So people go for more functionality than style.

In the 1940s, fashion for men has changed completely. Natural fibers were seen and reserved for military uniforms. Apparel strong, durable and practical was used by ordinary people. That was the moment the simple clothes, no vests, cuffs and pockets was first introduced to preserve the natural material. However, after the turmoil of war, fashions changed again. Thus, in mid 1940, more elegant costumes were designed by manufacturers. Double chest shirt, long jackets and baggy pants became the fashion. Cedars, peach, blue and gray are the colors used in different costumes. Ties were also designed in vibrant colors accordingly.

This was the first time when accessories men attained great popularity. Hats, shoes, ties, cufflinks, belts and watches gained considerable popularity and fame. Made of black leather shoes also achieved great fame.

Although the period of the 1940s was a major setback and desperate, but no doubt the fashion at that time became more specific popular and excited.
