Any ideas to attract local customers to use our mall instead of out of town stores big boy?
I have a boutique children in a small town type shopping precinct. There are many types of stores butchers, bakers, greengrocers, crafts, locksmithing, fresh fish, cafes, gambling houses, hairdresser, beauty salon, dry cleaning, shoe shop, photo shop, bars, charity shop, the way the ladies, hardware, pet shop, jewelry, watch repair workshop, a shop dolls house broker, toy store, podiatrist, newsagents, supermarkets and independent co-op. We are all together next week to discuss ways to improve customer tread through our pedestrian precinct - rather than the people who use outside the shops in the city. Also, the way to attract people from outside the area. However, we have a small budget to spend. Any new ideas for me to take the meeting would be greatly appreciated. It should be noted - on the way - we also have post office, major banks, agencies Travel two major tourist attractions and away from a beach less than a mile.
I will use the bike shops as an example. In a good bike shop, bikes are much more expensive than the box stores, but they are far superior. It is also likely to find many services to complement your purchase, as well as installing bike (very important), board walks, and a mechanic on the actual site. This type of service bike shops kept alive, it is easy enough to "save" money in a crap-mart bike will end up gathering dust in the garage. There will be plenty of value-added services you can imagine for any business. It's just a matter of developing them as people will be attracted to the stores, and advertising, then charging a reasonable price instead of going with a hunger for prices of 'boutique' in everything.
