I am creating a series of fashion plates, 1940 for a magazine article. I looking for a poem or a verse that could accompany the illustrations. You need a theme of war and love, and be written in view of the woman for her love nostalgia to war.

Quade Kline Twas the Second World War Through the fields Bullets were flying soldiers died were fighting the Germans to help the Jews could not know what they were putting them through men with tanks and some rifles just made the fight against throughout a full night out of nowhere when Guns were fired from their trenches ran So very tired of our guns firing as fast as we could push the Germans feeding of them came and gone as the war was Hitler's army was strong We were fighting the japenese addition to the Germans when Japan bombed Pearl Harbour We would stay given the war was over I was still going on Our troops are still fighting soldiers remained strong The war ended in 1945 some were forgotten shortly survive the fight is over is 2004 No one will forget this bloody war This is all I can say about World War I will not forget you Nor should
