How was Bal Harbour shops create your fashion magazine Spring 2010?
The inspiration for the cover of Bal Harbour History: To link the breathtaking beauty of the Everglades with high fashion. We were attracted to the amazing images taken by the famous Clyde Butcher, who has made a career out of shooting River of Grass. We were intrigued by how different the light is sit there and wanted a photographer skilled enough to understand how to better capture the light, and give photo a painterly effect.
Bal Harbour Magazine Team Photo: Greg Lotus is a master with light. He is one of the few fashion photographers to shoot your gut and does his best work there. It was the perfect choice.
Then, finally secured a date - 15 January. Now for the stylist. Greg wanted Danny Santiago. Danny, who had just wrapped up his duties as Sex in the City 2, I was thrilled he and Greg has done countless shoots for Italian Vogue. With the team in place, we scouted our location.
The Element of Surprise: That beautiful images is difficult, but it is memorable and beautiful masterful. Although we knew that these clothes to finger spring 2010 shows that look amazing paired with the landscape, we wanted to add something more, something memorable. So that .... we got a giraffe.
Model: Natalia Bogdanova has caught the attention of the world of modeling lately. Greg has worked with her and she was his best option. Once reviewed the 5'10 "model portfolio, born in Russia, we agree. Although this star has already worked with the star photographers, she is no diva. She was a game for anything, even when our giraffe nibbling Greg caught it as shot after shot.
Day: On the morning of 15 January we wake up with a crystal clear day and drove the Everglades. First, we went through the fashions of Bal Harbour Shops that Danny had come to our meeting. We knew we would start with the giraffe, and the first four shots went exactly as expected. Therefore, it was time to delve into the Glades, expensive equipment and goods even more expensive on board. Greg jumped into the swamp and sign the model to do the same. Surprisingly he did, with a smile on his face here (see the magnificent shot with Emporio Armani cardigan with sequins). She went through the swamp, and then put on Jimmy Choo and stood on a platform balance itself and an umbrella! It was finally decided to take the baby crocodile. Natalia, incredibly, took the alligator as Greg took pictures in one of the indoor shots. The perfect end to our days.
