What kind of photos should be included in a portfolio to apply for an internship with an agency of the magazine?
I want to apply for an internship with an agency the magazine as a fashion photographer / editor / layout designer photo etc.What type should I include in my portfolio? I have already covered outdoor shots as the nature, food, photojournalism, and a bit of fashion. But I have to include what makes me the perfect choice for the job ... and how many pieces should include? thank you note: I am a student of graphic design and practice is looking for next week ..
Most fashion magazines (or period magazines) do not have a personal photographer. They are art directors, design directors, photo editors, creative directors may wish to an internship. They attend photo shoots and working with the photographer, but rarely any of the shots. If you want to do photography, attending an intern year commercial fashion photographer / - most photographers are independent contractors or freelancers. When you arrange a meeting with them, want to know if you can operate power packs for the lights, installation and break teams - basically anything that a photographer would, but do not have time for it. So I guess that for a portfolio, the images should show that you know how to use the lights - not just a camera. Most photographers do not care about your wallet. They do not want to hire a shooter, who want an assistant.
