Wrappin 'Up 2009 With RDB

On tour around the world to four hit songs this year to perform in the biggest wedding in Bollywood have made more more! Now, to me, his Kuly, manj, arise and Nindy, but for the rest of the world to their idols, role models, and celebrities.

In performing between all India and prepare for the holidays, I had the pleasure (as always * wink wink *) to catch up with these amazing musicians for an exclusive interview. For your reading pleasure, I present a final sitting with RDB & Nindy Kaur!

Wow, you had one heck of a year. Tell us, what was your most memorable moment of 2009?

Kuly: As always on tour with my brothers and sister ... see the tracks we've been doing really turns on the fans faces ... I just cannot beat that feeling.

Manj: There are traveling with the whole family, including Anoop, my son. Every time we got to the stage that just run on the show and take more of it ... like absolute crazy their parents ... Haha!

Arise: To me it has to be the tours of India. It was fun and met so many new people.

Nindy: Performances and video scares are hand in hand for me. But I'm going with videos. We recorded the video of my song Akhiyan it was fun. Definitely going to be something the fans will love it! I know we do!

Bollywood has been a great success for you since your first appearance in 2007. Tell us how you've grown as singers of playback from its track debut Raft Rafter.

Manj Voice: Well as a singer I think I tried to get better and better as time has passed. Never stop procrastinating and still have much to learn, but never Unless I have my 100% vocally to all of our songs and shows how people enjoy the songs.

Kuly / may have about the production: As manj has the talent and voice loudly against RDB, we feel that a strong base of music behind it helps to create our unique sound that yearns for Bollywood.

Nindy: Speaking of what I have done personally, I think there's much more you can do. And believe me, 2010 will have much to show vocally. But I delighted that my debut with two tracks of fun, and Boliyan Aloo Chaat. On the one hand Aloo Chaat was on the verge of Hip-hop and then is the traditional point Boliyan. The boys have also had the opportunity to show how versatile production capabilities are. All the world is going to go crazy with all the new things!

What has been your greatest strength and inspiration out of your family?

Manj: Must be the fans for sure as that drive us to make better music ... Pips but my friend who always is giving me the bomb that also helps, haha!

Kuly: Other topics incredible and producers ... Inspiration is all around us.

Arise: The fans come first, but also push the media positively, because without the fans would never know!

Nindy: Fans are very inspiring.

So the only thing that looks good is that you interact. Whether it's Twitter or Facebook, you're always connecting their fans. How has the Internet helped make him four more closely with their fans as well?

Kuly: We always allowed to be closer to our fans ... to hear their views and comments and of course take on board their praises.

Manj: Always is good to see comments from fans to interact, I guess is a great way to show our appreciation to our loyal fans who acknowledge them. It also shows fans that are not only big timers trying to make money and show ... for us its all about the music and bring something new to the table.

Arise: The online presence has been one of our "must have" ways of communicating with people. Since we started with www.RDBtv.com and then went, we felt this is Our best way to get our word and sound to the masses.

Nindy: I think it's great. I have my Facebook Fanpage and whenever I can change my status, everyone is always commenting. And it's a good feeling when you see something that someone wrote that answer, and then comment saying it is comment of his day. Yes, in the end, makes my day, I see that I have interacted with someone who appreciates my music and are happy. Actually I have to return to chirp however. I my last tweet was that I was shopping with the kids, and I have done much more since then!

What are your New Year's resolutions?

Kuly: To spend more time with my family and in the studio!

Manj: To go on a strict diet and exercise for the year! Nindy is probably laughing about it, but I promise to stick by it ... Shahid Kapoor to go to the state body in 2011 ... Haha!

Arise: Marry! Haha! Only joking, it's the usual reality: get toned up, make money, make music and do ... I mean to spread the love!

Nindy: Oh boy, this is a tough question! How about this: my new years resolution is to not eat too many sweets and chocolates and mithais! That means stop Tirusha Hershey kisses me!

Nindy Okay! So now to something I know the four that love - fashion! Each time I see that you do, the style is an important part of your presentation. Who do you usually rock when you're on tour or doing a shoot?

Kuly: Classic "T" CK and my Nudie jeans ... simple and classic look forever.

Manj: Well, I've been flexing G-Star and the true religion, but since I went to India, I found a great measure the exact design makes me think. In fact, teamed up with Desi wear and have our own T-shirts, sweatshirts and overalls, so I've been using our own thing a lot.

Arises: Has to be G-bro (G-STAR), fits well and looks the part. But as music, fashion is constantly changing, so it will be adaptation.

Nindy: I like shopping in the UK. Toronto left with two suitcases and come back with six! But when it comes to something Desi, I love designers like Neeta Lulla, Ritu Kumar and Manish Malhotra ... track, track!

Nindy Well, I get the point! Haha, so it is easy! This is a tough question! All of you are always with something new! Who do you think were the most elegant in Bollywood this year?

Kuly: I always liked the Amir Khan style ... of well-tailored suits to funky t-shirts.

Manj: For then I like the style Saif Ali Khan, he knows for sure what happens there.

Arise: Aki always something new, but like all actors and actresses, you need the form to make it look good.

Nindy: Kareena safe. She was always well every time he saw her and her style is fab too!

I've said before, many people consider that models an industry leader. While you were starting his musical career, he did admire and regard as their own models?

Kuly: Musically it was a mixture of large number of models, from Paul Simon to Boys ... Petshop then as my musical tastes evolved, I came to love all the big news in the Hip-Hop Dre to Timbo.

Manj: I used to look up to all artists as Michael Jackson, Kriss Kross, MC Hammer and all the classics such as Bhangra AlaAP, Premi, Surinder Shindo, Manak Kuldip.

Arise: I was a fan of great rock, not only Indie Pop and Rock, but there was a great thing for Metal Rock, so the influences range from Surjit Bindrakhia all the way to bodycount.

Nindy: I was always influenced by the Bhangra scene in the UK, so it is very difficult for me to determine actually cause back in the 80s all the bands were fantastic, but I must say, without those bands I do not think I would be very inspired!

When you're on the road trip, what are the three things to keep you and why?

Kuly: My Macbook, my Flip Cam HD to capture all the backstage antics and Of course my Blackberry!

Manj: My phone, my brothers and my wife and son ... ok, ok that's four, but I do not care (laughs).

Arise: My luggage Titan (one always needs a good change of underwear), my phone (must be in contact with the world), and my computer laptop (need to write contracts).

Nindy: MY SON! My husband! Wipes to clean the microphone!

You've made the play of actors like Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani. If you could choose three people you would for reproduction, who would it be?

Kuly: I'd like to write for Amir Khan, Shah Rukh or perhaps even Mr AB.

Manj: live to see the reproduction of Abhishek, Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor y.

Arise: Any person Hollywood to Bollywood.

Nindy: Oh, that's a tough question! I like to sing playback Katrina, Bipasha and Priyanka!

2009 was more than right to its name. First let's start with 'Aloo Chaat. When and how he was approached for the film? What were your first thoughts?

Kuly: I thought "How the hell can you do ALOO chaat street credible" lol ... went well though!

Manj: We met at the IFFA Faffy 2007 and asked us to gather in his room during a conversation quick, only to discover it is a big fan of RDB. So some items showed that one of them was a blow that we did for our album, I knew I would become a super hit Aloo Chaat.

Arise: It's great how involved the players themselves first when it comes to music and filtered to producers and directors.

Nindy: Well (laughing), the boys wanted to add some female vocals of the song and since I was doing was obvious that I would Boliyan out in this song too. It was fun, because even though we shot a good video too, case and the song was also featured on the promos of the film too.

How did you decide to present the issue as you did Aloo Chaat?

Kuly: Actually put the designs and voice guidance on the plane back from Bangkok! That's how fast we would like to work:)

Manj: He was solid at first, because how do you say 'Aloo chaat' in a song without sounding silly?! So that hit his head together and came out with a hip-hop, Lil John, singing style. As everyone knows ... with a voice like Lil John, he can say anything and sound good!

Arise: It's a track that we feel would justify the unique title of "Aloo Chaat". Also worked so well for the promotion of the film.

Nindy: You have five creative minds (including my father who writes superb all Bollywood hits in ours) ... someone's bound to come up with something. In fact, it was fun ... gave us the concept of "chaat ALOO" now, how do you think of a song and song for that? But once again ... was possible with the great minds!

The great success of the forthcoming 2009 was "Om Mangalam. Tell us about working on this theme and concept.

Kuly: As soon as Akki gave us the "Om Mangalam singing, rhythm and chord structures just fit perfectly around it. To this is added the "Do not want to love" tag line and it was perfect.

Manj: Akshay same basically brought the concept together as he told us the story line and then gave us the hookline 'Om Managalam. From from there we took him out with his father and behold ... Dad only summarizes the entire movie in three verses! We left the bat and go!

Arise: Breaking the boundaries of all religions.

Nindy: The song was fun! I loved when we did the recording sessions. And it was fun shooting promotional video too! I think everyone fro m Akshay to Kareena enjoyed this song.

'De Dana Dan was a super hit and helped the soundtrack was killer too! Tell us a little about the song Paisa (which is one of my favorites of all time) and how he came to be selected for this film.

Kuly: Just another mixture of a concept of great song and a great calling Akki to have him in the film.

Manj: It's actually an old song we did for the Punjabi singer Manak-E and Aki liked so much that he used carry out when he filled. It was only a matter of time when you want it on film. Therefore, a remake of the theme by adding some UMMMFF Manak-E and got back to sing in Hindi. It fit the movie and the perfect scene.

Arise: almost felt like the movie was created around this track and not vice versa!

Nindy: As usual Aki RDB songs heard at the time the car and day out ... Paisa liked Paisa and now in "De Dana Dan '(laughs).

Now the most important of 2009 was its performance in the reception Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra wedding. It was the most talked about event. How were all invited to make and what was the experience?

Manj: We received a call from the brother of Raj Kundra in the UK we formally invited to the occasion, so we were happy so when they ask us also to carry out to improve the night. We did what we had to do and made sure that Shilpa and Raj stood up at the dance stage, Raj actually rose from his feet and carried by stage!

Arise: was fun, Shilpa loves to dance so when we dedicate a song for her, She took off her shoes and danced his heart.

Nindy: The experience was great ... Shilpa was beautiful as ever. Everyone was very hospitable and we rocked the night with our performance!

Nindy, which looked beyond impressive that night, we speak of a ride.

Nindy: Thank Tirusha! I was wearing a red and black Lengh by Kimaya Mumbai. They have some amazing stuff! I go shopping in Mumbai local ... keep me away !!!!!

Based on the pictures it seems that you have made some new friends in B'wood! Tell us who else you met?

Manj: Too many to list that night and as we were guests and artists performers, mixed and had a great night talking with them.

Arise: Everyone was a pleasure to meet, some more than others.

Nindy: Sameera Reddy was a doll, we have become good friends! Above all, I should mention I found with a great friend / sister, Kiran Bawa Mumbai ROCKS as an entrepreneur and proud owner of Iosis Medi Spa & Bawa Hotels ... ELLA!

It was quite year! So for a change, time for a random question, I had to shoot there for fun. As the saying goes, what you eat. So if you could be a vegetable for a day, what would you be and why?

Kuly I would have to be a vegetable purslane as apparently the rarest of vegetables in the world!

Food: Celery, because no matter what you eat, you just do not get fat.

Arise: Tomato, it is the only vegetable that grows on trees in the air instead of into the ground!

Nindy: Saag spinach (laughs) because that is a favorite of manj!

See, it was so funny! What advice would you give to those who want pursue a career in music?

Kuly: Never think you've reached the top, because if you think that is, there is only one way left to go ... let your work speak for you.

Manj: But do not give up and try more and more difficult to make quality music. Remember that not happen overnight, it took 14 years to hang in there because its going to be a bumpy ride.

Arise: Meet the people in the industry and work together, not against each other. And they know the business!

Nindy: Create in yourself and you will achieve all the dreams and succeed in life.

So are there any secrets that can be told?! What's in store for 2010 RDB & Nindy Kaur?

Kuly: As always, we try not to everything big we do before we did ... when is the right time .. you will see:)

Manj: with things more movies, more videos, new album around the world, 'Big and maybe another guy ... Haha!

Arise: More music, videos, albums, all with a touch unique!

Nindy: (Laughs) Who is manj have another child?!

Oh man, what I wear? (Laughter) Well guys, do you have any final words for all your fans and our readers?

Kuly: I honestly love you all ... without their support ... we are just one family ... With your support ... We RDB!

Manj: Thanks for all the support and follow beating us to make better music for you.

Arise: Respect to all the girls n boys as would be nowhere without you. Us See you soon.
