Is it possible to create a WAV WMA encoding in a manner similar to that of a RIFF-WAV?
By using DivX to convert videos, i must encode the audio to not a big file, but it must be in WAV format, because I use (like everyone else) VirtualDub. Currently I use CDex to create MP3-encoded WAV (or RIFF-WAV) (More info - http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/terms/riff-wav.cfm). But because of WMA has better compression and sound quality (in terms of size, anyway), I would use it instead of MP3 codec being used. Therefore, it is possible to create an encrypted WMA WAV file? Thanks in advance!
That's a very complicated for a simple task. You have the terminology all mixed up. The way he said, a WMA is a compressed WAV. MP3 encoded WAV, OGG is encoded WAV. WAV files are (usually) unprocessed raw audio data with a single-bit header that describes the rate of VirtualDub so I do not know, but if it is half decent any audio file you drop there will be decoded and used. So now it falls on it, and MP3 decoding, WMA'm betting too.
