Jon Egar Ora (The Magnificent Eleven)

Recently, a number of cricket websites have taken the initiative to form the greatest XI in different countries. Former players, journalists and in some cases, the public is voting to select the XI. Unfortunately, I have not seen any such attempt to select time all over Bangladesh XI. Of course, not easy to select such XI, given that Bangladesh has been playing first class cricket only the last decade. However, I have taken the bold initiative to form such XI. Obviously, I'm not any voting system, but depending entirely on my own trial. But I would be delighted to hear the views of Bangladeshi cricket fans about my selection. I have decided to select the team with Test cricket in mind. Interestingly, four members of this side never got the chance to play Test match cricket. One of the four, Raqibul was player number 12 in a test match, of Bangladesh, but for Pakistan. The team has no less than three left arm spinners, a testament to the fact that Bangladesh does not depend heavily on the players arm Slow left. I have also a deep reflection on a possible 12 man, and I finally selected former captain Minhajul Abedin Nannu for that position. He was one of most consistent performers for the national team between 1984 and 1999. He performed brilliantly in the WC 1999 but was overlooked for the test. The team includes 2 members of the current road Tamim and Shakib opening. Finally, Habibul Bashar Sumon have chosen as the captain, just based on who led Bangladesh in maiden test victory, against Zimbabwe in January 2005. I'll start my all time greatest XI with the great old man of cricket Bangladesh, Raqibul Hassan.

Raqibul Hassan: On February 26, 1971, on a spring morning bright and sunny, a large crowd gathered at the stadium in Dhaka to see "Proof" a match between Day 4 Pak XI and XI tour of the Commonwealth. The unofficial party does not seem to bother people too. The reason behind their joy was the fact that for the first time a player Bengali, Raqibul Hassan was included in the full Pak side. With the next scheduled to tour Pak England during the summer, the young Raqibul, with its impeccable technique against fast bowling looked a good prospect for the tour. But fate had other plans for Raqibul. Within months, instead of playing for Pakistan, who had to flee to Calcutta to save his life. He returned to Dhaka at the end of the year, only to be devastated by the news of the death of his mentor Haleem Chowdhury (Shahid Joya). Not only was his companion Haleem opening for East Pakistan side, which, in fact, used to be roommates at away games. In the midst of all these ups and downs, the young Raqibul not lose his composure, and soon began to play a leading role in establishing the infrastructure for the cricket newborn country. And appropriately enough, was given the job of leading the local team in our entry into the international arena. On the last day of 1976, another tomorrow Sun, who led the team in the North Zone against the touring MCC side in Rajshahi in the international match well the first time in our history of cricket.

A batter Ken Barrington in the pan, Raqibul was a great believer in building your entries. A short man, who do not have the big boys. However, his defense was impeccable, and as most of the shortest players, who scored a ton playing shots square of the pedestrian. In Rajshahi, was lost in the first innings, but is modified the next day with a 73. This was followed with 74 and 33 * in Jessore. Raqibul was given the duty to lead the national team the following season. He, like everyone world struggled against a very strong attack Lanka January 1978. But Raqibul found its way against the side Deccan Blues scored 64 in February and led his team to a score of 320 / 9. But, if not next season against a mediocre bowling attack MCC, it was clear to everyone that captaincy was becoming a burden to Raqibul. Hira WK Raqibul replaced as captain.

Raqibul reached the peak of his form during the 1980-81 season. Batting in the No. 4 position, which gave lateral stability, as stroke-makers, Yousuf Babu, and the trio of young Lipu, Mantu and Rafiq was for vaccinations. He began the season with a patient 40 * Central Zone against tourists. In Chittagong, looked all set for a hundred, but the weather intervened to deny the opportunity. He remained unbeaten on 78. Undaunted, scored and a half centuries in each of entries in Dhaka. From next season onwards, the focus of Bangladesh cricket went from the longer version of the game to version shorter, and this change did not suit Raqibul. Although he remained a national team member for 5 years, its role in the side gradually decreased. He retired from international cricket after the ICC trophy in 1986, a relatively young age of 32 years, paving the way for the youth of acquisition.

record books tell us that in his 2 full ODIs scored only 17 runs. His record in ICC trophy is not much better, 340 runs at an average of 22.67, with a maximum of 47 *. But statistics say nothing about the real contribution of this man to Bangladesh cricket. A perfect gentleman on and off the field, was a model for the first generation of cricketers from Bangladesh, and almost a quarter century after his retirement, remains a source of inspiration for our current generation of cricketers.

Tamim Iqbal: Nearly 1500 runs at an average of just over 40 makes the batsman Tamim undisputed No. 1 in the country. A record His day is also impressive, and in its current form is probably good enough to enter into any test team in the world. Especially impressive is his record in 2010, began the year with a personal best of 151 in Dhaka against India. And in the summer has marked successive Test ton in England tour. Obviously, in the hundred Lord has to be the highest point of his career so far. Forced to follow on, the 4 th day of the match, the partner of Tamim and its opening Imrul almost changed the course of the match with an opening stand of 185 runs in under 40 overs. While fashion Imrul hit a Test match, Tamim was batting in a carefree. There was pressure on him, in the first innings, which ended unnecessarily after scoring a stylish 55. Not only refuses to personal glory, which More importantly, he had set his team the enormous pressure. In the second inning, he was determined to make peace, and he did. Its wine from 103 to 100 deliveries, four 15 feet and two sixes to provide a large proportion of their careers. Their heroism not save the match for his side, but won the respect of both bowlers of the opposition English cricket experts. Is further enhanced his reputation with his 108 at Old Trafford in the next game. His ODI record is equally impressive, almost 3000 runs with a high of 154 against Zimbabwe.

But for fans of Tamim (and Bangladesh cricket in general), the past is not as important as the future. Since our debut in test match against India 10 years ago the dispute has occurred with respect to our test condition. In the eyes of many experts in cricket, just 3 tests successfully combined victories here and there in the limited versions of the game is not good enough to justify this situation. Perhaps the only good thing Bangladesh has been able to achieve in the midst of these struggles is that the national team has had a look quite stable. There used to be constantly chops and changes in the team. Now, players like Tamim, Sakib, Riyadh, Rahim and others have set on your computer, and are not uncomfortable playing at the highest level of play. In Bangladesh prepares to start the second decade at the highest level, the challenge is for 2 / 3 of the players to become truly world class, maybe try to achieve greatness. Only with the help of 2 / 3 world class players in our side we can expect to compete with the best teams more evenly. Tamim is fully aware of the enormous responsibility resting on his shoulders. No need to change his batting style. Maybe you should be thinking about making the hundreds really great, odd punctuation double hundreds, if possible. He is the backbone of our batting up and will remain so for the next decade or so.

Habibul Bashar Sumon (C): The race this elegant right-hander can be divided into three different parts. During 1989-1994, was a cricket club player very good, immensely popular in Dhaka, but no anywhere near international recognition. During the period 1995-2000 was a fringe player for the national team in and around the national team, but no a regular place in the team. Finally, after getting her big break in our Test match debut against India in November 2010, quickly became our most successful batsman in the test area. Meanwhile, more natural and talented players Ashraful, Tushar Imran Al Shahriar and fought on the big stage, Bashar we applaud both the experts and the general public.

In the summer of 1989, Bashar was a successful member of the Bangladesh team which toured England school. More Later in the year, represented the Bangladesh U-19 team in the Cup Asian Youth Beximco. But while some of his teammates, and Aminul Islam Bulbul, Selim Shahed, Jahangir, Saiful and Anis, quickly graduated to the national team, Sumon first had to establish itself in the highly competitive league Dhaka. A review of records Sumon during this period show that there was a lot of results in years 20 and 30. His inability to convert its stores in scores hampered significant progress as a player. He also hurt his team, as they usually batted in the No. 3 position vital. For example, playing for Karachi Abahani against Gymkhana, in April 1993, reached 32 without any real effort. But then they threw in a critical stage of the game, and his team eventually lost the game with only a single run.

Things finally changed for young Sumon during the 2 nd half of the 1994-1995 season. A string of hits wins Biman Bangladesh eventually got the attention of national team coaches. After playing for the "A" side against Hong Kong and Kenya, which included in the team for Asia Cup in April. After spending several years playing the club bowlers Dhaka, suddenly had to prepare to face the best business. Hoping that in Sharjah, were the likes of Wasim and Murali. After failing to the first XI in the first match against India, Bashar was given his chance against SL, taking the place of Javed Omar. Bashar and the rest of the team enjoyed the first half. Saiful Middle pacemakers produced the best bowling of his life to be 4 / 36 as the Sri was shot out for just 233. It was the first time that Bangladesh has managed to throw the opposition out in a full ODI. 234 was an achievable goal, as the pitch Sharjah is always known to be kind of hitting. Here, perhaps the tone was a bit slow with the ball does not come to bat properly, but our hitters were used to playing in these conditions, and we thought our chances. Athar experienced was run with the score at 4. Sumon concert tickets came to the crease to join Shipon, playing his second ODI. The two struggled against accurate bowling Vaas and Gamarra. Not only Bangladesh duo hit the limits, he could not run quick singles. In Here, his inexperience played a role. After struggling for 35 deliveries for just 16 runs, Sumon was captured by Aravinda De Silva of the bowling of Gamarra. Interestingly, Gamarra was a regular on the cricket field club of Dhaka, and obviously knew enough of the weaknesses of Sumon. His next effort against the Paks lasted only two deliveries. I was out of a duck, by York Aram Wasim. Earlier in the season the two had met in a club match in Dhaka. There, he placed Sumon the legend of a six-Pak on the way to win a game at once. Akram was not very happy with it, and here he had his chance, took just two deliveries to take his revenge. Sumon played in the ACC Trophy in Kuala Lumpur in September 1996 but was shelved for major ICC trophy later in the season. Sanwa Sumon was preferred for the vital point No. 3. Instead, Sumon was sent with the "A" team to tour Pakistan. In the Wills Cup in Pakistan, Habibul was consistently between runs. With scores of 35, 71, 42 *, 26 * and finished the tournament with 174 runs at an impressive average of 87.00. His performance would even more impressive when taking into effect the fact that he had to face world class players like Waqar, Saqlain Mushtaq and to get their careers. This action, with Sanwa in KL failure meant that Sumon was back in the side of the Asia Cup in July. However, there was stronger, scoring 0 and 6 against Pakistan against SL. And while he made his maiden score of fifty ODI against Zimbabwe in October, failed to achieve the consistency needed to consolidate their place in the national team. During the next 2 to 3 years and was on the side. Was consistently among the news, which had both supporters and critics within the circle of cricket. I missed less a copy of 1999, and although he was in the team of 14 chosen for our maiden Test match, it was not safe, even in the morning of the first if he would play or not. Fortunately, the public sympathy and support of the media at that time was to Bashar, and the selectors decided to give it a try in the bigger picture. Bashar was given to justify the faith shown in him.

Durjoy Bangladesh skipper won the toss and decided to bat first place. Despite batting friendly conditions, Bangladesh lost both openers quickly. In 44 / 2, Bulbul joined Bashar. And together they started the recovery. However, his approach was different. Bulbul, the most technically correct batsman to hit the patience, ready to play a long inputs (which ultimately was made). Bashar was more impatient and perished in the attack carried a bit too far. But at the same time it was happening, it was fun, at least for those of Bangladesh fans. He hit 10 boundaries, not all genuine cricket shots, but people did not care much for that. Bashar completely dominated the third position 72, Bulbul pedestrian before tried to take a ball of Zaheer was not short enough, and ended up giving an easy catch at Mid On the Indian captain Ganguly. Such time, the Indians found some bugs in handling the short ball Bashar, as in the second inning again killed a short delivery, this time not to keep your hook shot on the ground, and holding to Zaheer, deep in the leg side. His 30 was the second highest score tickets to the local side. Despite the disappointment, its score of 71 and 30, finally gave him his breakthrough in the international arena. Most of their productive time in cricket career had begun. In the next years, Habibul Bashar Sumon emerge as the most consistent batsman of Bangladesh in Test cricket field.

The first test century came Bashar A year later, against Zimbabwe at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong. His 108 was a lone hand in Bangladesh's first innings. Ashraful Bulbul and could not convert its inception, Ratings as the home team could not help but move forward. Even in the second showed his class Sumon entries. In fact, 76 and patient 80 by opener Javed Omar gave us the hope of saving the match. However, our batting collapsed badly in the last day against part-time spinners Grant Fowler and Marillier. Zimbabwe won the match with eight windows, and two-match series 1-0. Bashar kept his head high after finishing the series with 249 runs at an average of 62.25. Its next century came against Pakistan in Karachi in August 2003.His 71 and 108 were not enough to save the match for him, but he received rich applause cricket experts. He was at another ton in the next match in Peshawar, falling in the nervous system of 90 (97). He finished the series with 379 runs at an average of 63.17. Its highest test score (113) came against the Windies May 2004. He finished with more than 3,000 runs in his Test career to an average of something else. A percentage very top of their careers came with horizontal bat shots.

Bashar had a brief stint as national team captain. In January 2005, took Bangladesh to victory the inaugural event. The win was very predictable given the nature of depletion of the opposition. A great achievement under his leadership was our historic victory over the Australians in the following summer. It was the 130 run stand for the fourth wicket between Ashraful (100) Bashar and that led to the foundation of our victory Window 5.

Aminul Islam Bulbul: Back in 1977, as Test cricket is celebrating its centenary, Keith Miller, the legendary Australian all-rounder picked a great time all the Aussie XI. He Charles Bannerman opener included simply on the grounds that Bannerman scored a century for Australia in the first test match in 1877. Following the example of the incomparable Miller I decided to include Aminul Islam Bulbul. Bannerman and is the first Australian to score a test hundred, Bulbul is the first Tiger to score a lot of testing. It should be noted that even without this science there would have been very strong demand for inclusion in my XI.

After a knee injury crushed his hopes of becoming in the 'Maradona' in the country, Bubul quickly turned his attention to cricket. Huge talent, he soon found himself playing in the national team in January 1988. However, despite his natural talent, struggled on the international scene for several years. There was a disappointing time in the 1990 ICC Trophy, and things are just better for him four years later, in Kenya. It was in the process of rebuilding the team during the 1994-95 season, which saw a new and more mature Bulbul. First Instead, against the 'A' to an Indian side, at the height of his reputation as a good bowler back, scoring 64 of a total of 172 teams. Then, against the 'A' on England's side in February, scored a rapid fire 52, at 50 per game, he and Rafiq Maryland almost snatched victory the jaws of defeat. However, it was his hundred in the match 3 days silence all his critics. play the first day was affected by rain. In cloudy conditions, batsmen struggled, the second morning I saw a bright sun. And in perfect batting conditions, Bulbul and Nannu made light work of the English bowling. Put in 179 races 4 th pedestrian. Nannu lost its tons, out of 81, but Bulbul taken to reach 121. This coup has increased its reputation as the most technically correct batsman the country.

During the busy season 1996-97, Bulbul was consistently among the races in big games. In the final ACC crown in September, was held our middle order along with 46 from 48 deliveries. In February, he scored a polished 78 against "A" in India. In the SF ICC Trophy against Scotland, contributed 57, sharing a 115 run third with pedestrian WK pilot. Captain Bulbul Bangladesh side in the WC 1999 in England, but great moment would come one year later, in our opening match of the test. On a bright autumn morning, Captain Naimur Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. After an hour, seemed a dubious decision, as Bangladesh had lost their two openers cheaper. For the 44 / 2, Bulbul came to the window, joining Habibul Bashar. Taken together, started the repair work. Bulbul was as solid as ever, while Bashar was more belligerent. Indian players throwing things tone Bashar too short and took the opportunity to show their range of horizontal bat strokes. However, it was a shot in such a way that caused his dismissal. Tried to take a shot player beat the rookie Zaheer Khan, who was not short enough, and ended up giving an easy catch to the opposition captain Ganguly, fielding in the middle of the region. Bashar was 71, with a team score 110 / 3. After that, Akram Bulbul old friend came to the crease. As the sun shone brightly over the middle pm Bangabandhu Stadium, the couple made steady progress. While India responded with three windows at the end of the day, Bangladesh completed their first day in Test cricket in a very satisfying 239 / 6, 70 *. Bulbul On the first day, Bulbul had batted with caution, slow down their natural motion reproduction. In the morning the second, we saw it in their most natural state of mind, and he decided to assume the dominant role. With the support of an excellent pilot WK, and ATVs Rafiq, who frustrated Indian bowling for a long time. Srinath finally offered to the bowling of Agarkar for 145, but the score of Bangladesh is already approaching the 400 mark. Bulbul had hit almost 9 hours and had faced 380 deliveries. There were no fewer than 17 and beaten limits. He was given a standing ovation by the crowd happy.

Followed Bulbul this blow with 84 against Zimbabwe in the next test match. And, although his test career went downhill after that, will always be remembered as one of the best hitters in the early days of our history of cricket. Especially, its 145 in Dhaka will be remembered forever.

Shakib Al Hasan: Shakib for the first time in the team testing as a lower order batsman and useful left arm screw. His performances in the early stages of his career suggests that. As a hitter he was receiving scores 30 and 40, and as a bowler, he was picking up windows here and there. huge improvement in both aspects of the game during the 2008-09 season saw him appear not only as the best player in the party, but as a top all-rounders in world cricket. Although 2010 has not been as successful as I wished, his round of all records, both as a game is still impressive.

As a hitter who has only one Test hundred to his credit, just 100 against the Kiwis earlier this year. But which is about several times. In fact, he has three scores of 96. One of them, 96 * against WI last summer helped his team win the match by 4 wickets. Bangladesh struggling on 67 / 4, when Shakib came to the window, but a brilliant 96 from just 97 deliveries took home from Bangladesh to 217 / 6. In the process they shared a support pedestrian game winning 5 of 106 with Raqibul. It was a brilliant performance all round by the captain of the Tigers, as with the ball, had figures of 3 / 59 and 5 / 70. He was the obvious choice for the award of MOM. So far it has had 75 wickets in 32 test matches each. Some critics may say that their average is a little too high, but remember that in general there is very little support for him. Fellow left arm spinner Razzak is very effective in test matches, while Enamul Haque (Jr.) is not consistent enough. And the attack has a reduced rate due to the injury look for long-term Mashrafee. With greater support can Shakib show greater penetration and may win more games for his side.

The biggest concern about Shakib is the threat that could burn too fast. Apart from his batting and bowling duties he had to lead the side as well. He took over the captaincy of Mashrafee after the fast bowler injured itself. Fortunately, Masharafee just returned, and the selectors had been entrusted with the captaincy a day at the moment. The selectors must be extremely cautious about using the talent of Shakib. Has shown tremendous potential, and if he keeps his promises, eventually became one of the largest versatile all time.

Akram Khan: I have seen two men in Chittagong for this position, Minhajul Abedin Nannu and Akram Khan. Nannu was a model of consistency during long international career spanning a decade and a half. However, two factors contributed to my decision to go ahead of Nannu Akram. First, never Nannu had the opportunity to play Test cricket. Despite his good showing during the1999 WC, who was overlooked for the Test match against India, a year later. More importantly, in a gray, damp afternoon in Kaiserslautern, in April 1997, Akram played the most memorable entries in the history of cricket.

Captains Knock 'is a term often used in cricket. Many times in the long history of the game, a captain would come to the window, with his wrestling team, but then change the course of the game with his batting brave. If Akram, his superb effort against the Dutch, not only changed the course of the match, which changed the course cricket history of a nation. However, his brilliance, the progress of our cricket would have stopped for at least 5 years, possibly more. Bangladesh is a favorite for the sixth ICC trophy in 1997, and in fact under the leadership of Akram seemed destined for a memorable achievement. They were beaten all his opponents, a after another. However, rain intervened wrong in their game against Ireland to stop its progress. Despite outplaying the Irish in all departments of the game, our points boyz had to share with their opponents after rain forced the match to be abandoned. This setback, the results mean in other games, while Irish are almost guaranteed a place in the semifinals, Bangladesh and the Netherlands has had to fight for the remainder of birth SF group. Things started quite well by Akram and his men on the big day. Put into bat, the Dutch fought against some accurate bowling spinners and seamers. Pattern Leede (23), Cantrell (37) and Oosterom (40) briefly threatened, but ultimately the Dutch total was a mere 171. A target of 172 should have been a cinch for boyz, but the Dutch had all round Lefebvre other ideas. A genuine all-rounder, who was both teams opening batsman and new ball pitcher. In this case, he had lost with the bat, scoring just 1 before being filmed by Saiful. But Lefebvre more than offset by his failure with his swing bowling hostile. Athar, Sanwa and all perished Naimur his bowling, scoring only 4 runs between them. Count with Asim Khan Bulbul, Bangladesh were struggling at 15 / 4. Back in Dhaka, the cricket-lovers followed the game on the radio. They were crestfallen. We were heading to another disappointing end to our campaign in the ICC trophy. But out there in the middle, Akram had other ideas. He was lucky to have Nannu crease with him at this critical time. Nannu was playing his fourth trophy of the ICC, and at that time the experience was a very important factor. Together, the two men in Chittagong had just started the recovery when there was a new twist to the game, the rain intervened to stop playback. All kinds of calculations were carried out during the rain break. A disaster to us helped to avoid defeat, but also meant to play our arch rival Kenya in the semifinals, and did not want that. When the rain stopped and restarted the game Bangladesh target was reduced to 141 from 33 overs. The aim was smaller, but the required run rate had swollen. In addition, the gardens did hit heavy boundaries extremely difficult. In contrast, Akram and Nannu 1s 2s had to look fast. And in the fast track search, Nannu died, exhausted by 22. Normally Moni reliable unable to cope with pressure, and its output was to Bangladesh 86 / 6. The situation was not as bad as it looked. Akram was batting very well at one end and all I needed was some support at the other end. Fortunately, Bangladesh had a long batting line up. In fact, all four batters remaining Pilot, Rafiq, Saiful and Hasibul could use the long handle quite effectively. (Both Rafiq and got hundreds of pilot test at the end of his career). Here, the coach Greenidge Bangladesh Mymensingh opted for the half Saiful pacemaker. Bajan can be our coach had a sense of history. Because it was very appropriate that a combination of Chittagong, Bangladesh, Mymensingh would take about a famous victory. In the 80's and early 90's, Chittagong, in the SE, and Mymensingh in the north became centers of cricket of great talent. The players from these two places dominated the League in Dhaka, and our national team. Even now, two of our best players, Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal (nephew Akram) originated from Mymensingh and Chittagong respectively. As they were fighting the Dutch bowling attack in this gray day in April in Kuala Lumpur, Akram and Saiful not only the realization of the hopes of millions of fans back home were also representing the rich traditions of cricket their hometowns. His 50 run stand the seventh stop the issue resolved in our favor. Saiful scored 18 from 20 balls, unlike most of the tail-enders, who preferred to hit the ball on the ground. And he used this tactic well here. Captain Khaled Mashud Pilot Future joined the current captain Akram, to take home with 8 balls to spare. Akram was unbeaten on 68. He took 92 balls and hit just three boundaries. Akram was not typical things. The man, who had made a name for his big hits in the land Chittagong, now out in a bigger stage that he could change his batting style to suit the needs of the hour.

A week later, Akram proudly lifted the trophy for the ICC for their country. A year later, Bangladesh was our first ODI victory over Kenya. He played for 2 toilets (1999) and (2003), and in our inaugural Test match against India. Like many others of his generation could not change his game enough to shine in the scenario great, but his great performance in a gray afternoon in KL, is sufficient to ensure a permanent place in our history of cricket. Akram nephew, Tamim Iqbal, is now the best Batman the country.

Khaled Mashud Pilot (WK): Again there was a direct fight between two of my favorites. This time the candidates were Shafiq-Ul-Haque Hira, Captain Bangladesh in 1979 and 1982 ICC Trophy tournaments, and Khaled Mashud Pilot, captain of Bangladesh in recent times. There is almost nothing to choose between the two, both were very clean and tidy behind the stumps, both excelled in the defense of the spinners and finally, both batsmen were more than helpful, scoring vital runs sides. Finally I gave my vote to pilot, due to its versatility as a hitter, a batter usually the order, which could hit as high as No. 3, if necessary. And for his excellent technique against fast bowling often means that he actually hit high in the order, ahead of more specialist batsmen.

During our successful campaign in the 1997 ICC Trophy tournament, which exceeded our batting averages. He scored a total of 92 races and was sacked only once. In the early stages end of the tournament, saw both sides hitting the pilot. In the SF against Scotland, he was promoted to No. 3. Although the team was doing brilliantly, Sanwa in the non-vital. 3 place was struggling for form. However, Nannu did an admirable job as a lesser evil # 3, which preferred the batting order. The selectors at this stage, ruing his decision to leave Habibul Bashar's side. Finally, for the vital match against Scotland decided to give it a pilot. It was not entirely a new work for the pilot as he had the experience of batting at No. 3 before. The measure worked wonderfully well, as a driver (70) shared third position with 115 pedestrian Bulbul (57). Rafiq Nannu and then provided a late flurry to take the score to 243 / 7, a score that was always going to be out of reach of the Scots. In the Finally, with entries from Bangladesh fell to just 25 overs, Piot, returned to his more familiar for the right application. As pressure mounted towards the end, The pilot held his nerve. His unbeaten 15 to only 7 deliveries included two massive sixes. Specifically, the six he hit his first ball over the road past by Martin Suji, was a long way towards solving the issue for us.

Pilot rarely had the opportunity to showcase their wide range of taps in the test match arena, as it almost always came to the window with his wrestling team and the situation should be a rearguard action. His best, an unbeaten 103, came on the last day of the first test match test series against West Indies 2004. Despite having a career first lead 64 entries, Bangladesh got in trouble in the second entries for 123 losing seven windows. Pilot then took a wonderful recovery. With the help of the tail Enders Rafiq (29) and Tapash (26), took the score to 271 / 9, the statement came immediately after his ton.

As for maintenance, the former coach of Bangladesh, Dev Whatmore once described it as the best in Asia WK. While many in the subcontinent will argue against that, there certainly are normally kept very clean and tidy behind logs. Bangladesh bowling with lack of any real venom, there were few opportunities for him. In its 87 remaining victims, only 9 were stumpings. Rafiq, the main cone part was not much variety in their flight. Instead of fooling hitters with his flight, and get confused, Rafiq usually based on delivery arm for low birth weight hitters. Piot 35 stumpings in ODIs show that with a wider range of flight of our slow bowlers would have made an impression yet higher in the test scenario.

Maryland Rafiq: Over time, Bangladesh will produce versatile, much higher quality than Maryland Rafiq. But I wonder, if one day there will be no player in the history of cricket, to be able to match the popularity it enjoyed during its heyday Rafiq. Above all, the crowd in Dhaka just loved him. And, in my opinion, his popularity had little to do with the windows you took, or careers that scored. It was his cavalier approach more impressed us. It was as a rookie, he was very reluctant to show any respect for teachers. He was never intimidated by the opposition, no matter how highly reputed the opposition might have been.

He had his limitations, both in their bowling and batting. Never was much variation in their flight. This meant that in good batting conditions, had to take a defensive role. In these circumstances, had to buy their gates, waiting for hitters to make mistakes. As his batting, never worry about what MCC Coaching books suggest. There was little (or footwork maybe not), a weakness that hastened often exploited by players fast bowling. However, he overcame all these obstacles to complete the road double (1000 runs and wickets 100) in both Test and ODI cricket.

Rafiq tournament was a great success ICC trophy in 1997. He was our most successful player, with 19 windows at 10.68 runs per window. It is especially effective in the 2 nd half of the event, and his best was 04.25 in San Francisco against Scotland. With the bat, which had played a little cameo of 16 runs to 7 deliveries, provided the final touch entry, after pilot Bulbul and Nannu ahd done the hard work. His new role in the final. With the rain, forcing our tickets reduced to just 25 overs, was sent to do the job offer. His short stay in the window was very entertaining to the public. He scored 26 runs in 15 balls with two sixes and 4s 2. most memorable moment Rafiq in ODI cricket was in May 1998. Opening the innings, he criticized the way to win a match of 77 shots from 87 deliveries. November 4 feet and hit a six. Having had, 3 / 56 to the ball, was an obvious choice for the MOM award.

Rafiq had to wait much longer to establish itself as a Test player. Not did so badly in our first match against India. Bowling very well, took 3 / / 117 of 51 acquisitions in the first inning, providing excellent support Durjoy roulette. No But the selectors thought of him as a bowler one day. And strove to find a regular place in the test team, as spinners than others gifted were tried. Finally, Rafiq was recalled, and after 6 / 77 against SA in 2003, did not have to look back. In the Pak tour for the next fall, he used his arm so bright fox delivery some of the best hitters Pak. In Multan, in the third test, Rafiq seemed to have put in our way to a famous victory, taking 5 / 36 in the 1 st inning. However, a brilliant 138 * not for the Injamam Pak captain saw the home team home to victory by a narrow gate 1. Rafiq finished the test with match figures 7 / 116, head high, however be disappointed as his teammates. Appropriately, Rafiq appears very prominently in our first ever Test victory against Zimbabwe in January, 2005.Rafiq, with 5 / 65 put the opposition under pressure in the first inning, but was the another left arm spinner Enamul Haq (Jr.), who did the damage in the second, taking 6 / 45. His best figures are consistent with 9 / 160 (5 / 62 and 4 / 98) came against the Australians in Dhaka in April 2006. However, once again it was just a lost cause, as Ricky Ponting with 118 * Australia took a victory Window 3. Rafiq best with the bat came in the drawn Test match against MI in St. Lucia during the tour of 2004. On a slow wicket, Rafiq scored 111 from only 152 deliveries. His call includes three sixes and 11 fours. That's the way Rafiq played his game. He cared little about the training manuals, but if their batting or bowling or fielding I always gave 100% on his side, and always entertained the crowd.

Jahangir Shah Badshah: Made his international debut in February 1978 until his retirement in 1990, was a regular member of the face. During this period, the Bangladesh Cricket drastic changes occurred, but very little has changed with Badshah. The most reliable of the road hand, was vital to stop picking his Pacers medium soft, and with the bat runs at different locations valuable contribution. It was the most cricketer versatile of the country during his term.

His type of bowling was more suitable for UK conditions sub-continental conditions. Not surprisingly, some of his best bowling performance was abroad. In May 1979, beautifully shot against Canada in a game of the ICC Trophy, to take of 4 / 17. Unfortunately, some fielding errors, Canada recover from 81 / 5 to a respectable 190 / 9, and our batting struggling in difficult conditions to its excellent effort was in vain. No less impressive was the 01/07 of 10 overs (with five maidens) against Fiji in the opening match. In general, ended the tournament with seven wickets in an impressive average of 8.00. He was less successful in the 82 and 86 ICC Trophy, but still took 4 / 39 against Malaysia in 1986, before our hitters muffed again.

A player truly great occasion, which quite often reserved his best performances in big games. In the difficult tour of Kenya, in February 1984, was shot at a fast pace to take 4 / 79 in the attachment of 3 days. Against Sri tour, in March 1985 was shot beautifully with the new ball to close the pair of opening and Wettimuny Sri Amal Silva for 6 and 0 respectively. Later, added to the big names, Mendis and Dias in his victim list, and ended up with very respectable 4 / 89. But perhaps his most memorable match of wine country, January 1986, against men of Imran Khan. With the ball, he dismissed Imran, Masood Kadir and the WK. However, an even greater effort came with the bat. Bangladesh top order was struggling against a varied attack Pak. Openers Shantoo Raqibul and died early. Nehal and Rafiq tried to counterattack, but only managed for short periods. Only the captain, stood firm Lipu. However, it seemed he would run out of partners. However, the old pro gave Badshah support, and showed young people to play against quality bowling attack. He did not try anything spectacular, but just play each ball in the background. The 63 run seventh pedestrian entries gave some stability. Badshah top scored with 46. Their efforts saved the then or save the match for the local side, but received a warm applause from the opposition captain. He impressed the cartridges back in March, the first in Bangladesh ODI never official. A target of 95 is expected to be a cakewalk for the strong batting line Pak, but were kept at bay for a long time by the accurate bowling Badshah. Over time finished with 2.23 of his 9 overs.

Badshah never played a Test match for Bangladesh, his career ended long before Bangladesh was granted the status of test. If you were born a decade later, would have undoubtedly resulted in our new ball attack. It is his brother, Nadir Shah, who is now maintaining the family connection cricket international standards, not as a player but as a referee.

Prince Golam Noush: Tall and strong, left Prince always great respect Armenta from the batting line-up opposition. In January 1986, was treated with great respect for the top hitters Pak, Mohammad Shoaib, Mansoor Akhtar and Rameez Raja, Zimbabwe batters he handles with great care in 1986, and again in 1990. Even world class players from India and SL were reluctant to take any risk against his bowling during the Asian Cup in 1990. The only thing that prevented him from being the fastest bowler in our history is the fact that he did not supply enough bowl pedestrian taking.

A native of Mymensingh, the prince made his reputation as the best player in the country in the mid 80's, a mantle he took over Ziaul Islam Masud way. The selectors, however, took a cautious approach with him. Instead of making it directly in the national team, which was tried for the first time in young team of "Tigers" in the 1984 SEA Cup Cricket. He performed admirably, not having many windows, but with his new ball partner, (Armenta and one on the left) Morshed, play very well, making it difficult for the opposition to score runs. The Prince was promoted to the main national team, one year Later in the game 3 days before the SL, and celebrated his ascension to the right to reject Ranjan Madugalle elegant curve. In January of 1986, sacked and Shoaib Mohammad Rameez Raja in the 3-day match in Dhaka. He made an impressive start to the ICC trophy of his career, taking 1 / 16 and earning much respect from the batsmen of Zimbabwe in the opening match. It took 2 / 33 against Kenya, but then lost their shape and not deliver the goods. However, he was in excellent form throughout the tournament fourth success of the ICC in 1990. There took 11 wickets in less than 20 each. But once again, his great performance against Zimbabwe (3 / 47) was in vain, as our top order batting collapsed. 4 years later, began the ICC Trophy tournament in Kenya with a bang. Took 03/25 against Argentina in our first game, bowling South Americans out for just 120. Even more impressive was his 4 / 36 against Eastern and Central Africa, in the following unit. After years of slow bowling in places, docile, Prince was well enjoying the extra pace and bounce of the windows of Nairobi. Unfortunately, he injured at the end of the first round, and thus lost the game vital for the next round. Its services are lost everything in the game of life and death against the hosts Kenya. He topped the bowling averages, taking eight windows at 14.12 each, a fact that underscores its importance to the team.

Following the disappointment in Kenya, there were changes in the national team. In order to form KL team of 1997, the selectors made a number of young players on the team. And Prince was one of those who gave their places. Anisur Rahman emerged as the new player's left arm pace for the national team.

Nazrul Kader Lintu: It was the best defensive player in the world, and he was a real rabbit with the bat, but Dhaka crowd just loved him. The only reason is that, at its best was undoubtedly the best player in the country. But for an unfortunate incident in 1979, would have become the biggest number to come from Bangladesh.

There was an unusual move for a spinner on the left arm, ran to the window at a rate very quickly, especially bowling in the window. Chinese had a good (bad for the United Nations arm spinner left), and uses it very effectively sometimes. I had a great understanding with wicketkeeper Hira, and the two combined to dismiss many hitters. Lintu enjoyed an excellent season in 1978-79 against the MCC. With Hira behind the trees, and the road Ashraful Rumy and provide excellent support, he completely hypnotized batters of the MCC. Lintu took 4 / 49 in Jessore, 5 / 67 in Rajshahi, 4 / 58 in Chittagong, 3 / 79 and 3 / 29 in Dhaka. With Lintu still very young, who seemed ready for a long and distinguished career in the field ahead international cricket. Fate, however, had other ideas.

During the spring of 1979, BCCB organized a one month gym camp for players domestic cricket as part of their preparation for the first ICC Trophy in England. Lintu at that time was studying engineering at BUET, and would attend camp mean missing an entire semester for him. He decided to camp a miss, and the board of retaliation by dropping him from the tour of England. Soon, Lintu is went abroad for higher studies, and his international career ended abruptly.
