Sean John Combs Fashion
Hip-hop fashion is a distinctive style of dress originating with young African-Americans in the District 5 (New York), and influenced later by the hip-hop scenes of Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area), Detroit, and the Dirty South among others. But the hip-hop fashion would not know fashion today without the hand of a man called "The Shiny Suit Man."
The rise of hip-pop at the end of the decade 1990, primarily the work of Sean "Diddy" Combs, known locally around New York at the time as the "Shiny Suit Man" brought elements such as strong suits, flashy PVC aviator inspired and platinum jewelry at the forefront of hip hop in an effort to add a new dimension and vivid color flash videos produced as a marketing tool.
Combs, who started his own clothing line Sean John, and manufacturers of such apparel as Karl Kani and FUBU brought hip hop fashion to the mainstream, resulting in a multibillion-dollar industry of hip hop fashion dollar. But who is Sean Combs Juan? And what was his contribution to fashion's growing hip-hop?

Sean John Combs, also known by his stage names such as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and now known as Diddy, a rapper, producer, actor, dancer, entrepreneur and designer men's fashion. His popularity in the industry took him three Grammy Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards.
Combs was also the founder of the registration of each crop, Bad Boy Records artists that produced hip-hop celebrities and personalities, including The Notorious BIG, Craig Mack, Dream, Carl Thomas, Faith Evans, Father MC, 112 and Total. Besides producing for Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Lil 'Kim, TLC, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, SWV, Aretha Franklin, and others, and forming The Hitmen, own production team.
In 1997, Combs released his first commercial vocal as a rapper under the name "Puff Daddy." His debut single, "Can not Nobody Hold Me Down" spent six weeks at # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their debut album, No Way Out was an album # 1 and won the 1998 Grammy for best rap album.
In 2002 he was presented at the Fortune Magazine "40 people rich Under 40 "list and placed number one in the top ten richest men in the hip-hop.
Business Companies and Sean John
His business interests under Bad Boy Entertainment Worldwide include Bad Boy Records, the clothing lines Sean John and Sean by Sean Combs, a movie producer, and two restaurants.
In 1998, Combs started a clothing line, Sean John. He was nominated for the Design Council Fashion America (CFDA) Award for Menswear Design of the Year in 2000 and another in 2004. Sean John is a clothing founded by hip-hop mogul Sean John Combs in which the name was taken from Combs' first and second names.
Part of what made Sean John clothing popular in the streets of the urban community is the group that represents the brand. These people include rappers such as TI, Fabolous, The Game, Daddy Yankee, basketball star Dwayne Wade and Tristan Sooklal, plus models Tyson Beckford and Kevin Navayne, and Combs himself.
"I always thought that I would like to start my own clothing line, but wanted to ensure that the time was right and had no time to devote to it, "Combs said in an interview. Since its launch, Sean John has received critical acclaim and commercial. Through the support of both the fashion community and retailers, Sean John has quickly grown from an urban label to an international brand.
Sean John has appeared frequently in the ceremony of the Council of Fashion Designers of America held annually in New York. For five consecutive years 2000, Sean John has been nominated for excellence in design. In 2004, Sean John was awarded CFDA Men's Designer of the Year Award.
In 11 2008, Combs launched his latest fragrance for men under the brand Sean John called "I Am the King." On November 24, 2008, announced a new lineup Plaza Times for the "I am king" line to replace his iconic Sean John ad. The giant poster is currently the largest print ad in Times Square.
In addition to her clothing line, Combs owns a chain of upscale restaurants called Justin, the name of his son. The existing restaurant Atlanta is in the original New York location was closed in September 2007. Combs is also the designer of the green Dallas Mavericks alternate jersey.
Among the controversies Sean John
The clothing line became controversial in 2003 when it was discovered that factories production of clothing in Honduras were violating Honduran labor law. Among the accusations put forth that the workers were subjected to body searches and paid the salaries of exploitation. Charles Kernaghan of National Labor Committee, who first exposed the factory, is quoted in the New York Times as saying: "Sean Puff Daddy obviously has a lot of influence, you can literally do a lot overnight to help these workers. "
In late 2006, MSNBC reported, "Macy's has pulled from its shelves and its Web site two styles of Sean John hooded jackets, originally advertised as faux fur, after of an investigation conducted by the organization's largest animal protection the nation concluded that the garments were actually an animal called "raccoon dog."
Combs said he had no knowledge of the material, but as soon as he knew, he had her clothing line stop using the material. In 2008 appeared in commercials for Macy's.
