What are the main features of the French fashion?

I know the elegance, simplicity and sophisticated are some, but I need more. What makes the French fashion so distinctive is their classic, elegant, sophisticated movement. Anything else?

Its currents are incorporated, if possible, rather than followed, by what an individual may appear fresh and innovative, yet timeless.
