About India Couture Week
HDIL India Couture Week, an initiative of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is expected to be the most glamorous and most unique of all the fashion weeks. India's first ever couture week, will showcase 11 of India's finest couturiers and aims to provide a platform for the Indian Couture.
Scheduled from September 16 to 21, two theatrically produced shows will be held each day at 7.30 pm and 9.00 pm. The event will certainly be a celebration of Indian fashion

Designers: Anamika Khanna & Pallavi Jaikishan
India Couture Week's fourth day had Anamika Khanna and Pallavi Jaikishan showcasing their splendid creations.
ANAMIKA KHANNA: Anamika Khanna's designs for HDIL India Couture Week were traditional yet contemporary, through which, she paid tribute to the modern Indian woman who knows her mind - and is not afraid to say it out loud.
Models were wearing sophisticated number complete with a string of pearls at the neck trimmed wrap in red, beautifully draped in see- through dress
She played very well with black stockings, cowl dresses and tunics, pleated coats and layered sarees pleated hemline and low cut back, cascading skirt. Innovative approach for draping, cut and comfort. See through element had been prominent in Anamika's collection.
PALLAVI JAIKISHAN: Pallavi Jaikishan's collection at the HDIL India Couture Week, titled La Vie Est Belle (Life is Beautiful), was inspired from the sophisticated cities of Europe to the fiery desert of Rajasthan. Models were seen wearing ravishing gold sarees, teamed with a colorful French threadwork choli, gorgeous green lehengas on the runway. The collection gave a feel of an English garden party as models were seen chatting and laughing and waiters in medieval British get-ups and wigs serving mock tea
Puffed sleeves, traditional red and gold tone, with threadwork roses along the zari-scalloped border showing orange and dark pink tone also tried to give a break from red color.
