Fashion Weeks
Fashion Weeks are events held by designers or fashion houses to display their latest designs and creations of the media communication and fashion buyers. Catwalk shows are the mainstays of these weeks which are held throughout the world and attract mass attention globally. The primary fashion week is held in the capitals of style, London, Milan, Paris and New York, but there are many others that take place in less familiar areas of the world fashion, and are designed to draw people's attention to less prominent designers. These include Australia Fashion Week, Fashion Week in Japan, South Africa Fashion Week, and Los Angeles Fashion Week . In the main cities of fashion, fashion week is held twice a year, showing the trends of fall and spring collections. " These are carried out long before the current season to allow adequate coverage and previews of the designs before the current season. This is also done to give the buyers to buy a chace of the designers creations, so stores Retailers can use the elements of the designers' styles in their mass production of clothes for the High Street market.
Fashion weeks are attended by department store buyers, media, celebrities and members of the entertainment industry. In years past, fashion weeks were mainly used as commercial events and people in the industry just attended. Today, however, are events luxury, exclusive, attended by many celebrities and cause a frenzy media. The week is a 7-day spectacle, which often includes live music, luxury galas and charity events. Some programs are also open to selected members of the public as well as some of the latest developments show that the designer of handbags, jewelry, shoes, hats and cosmetics. Many important fashion design schools now in terms of contemporary fashion week as well.
Fashion Weeks have been around since 1943, when the first was held in New York to draw attention away from French fashion during Worl War II, when fashion industry insiders were unable to travel to Paris to see French fashion shows. Fashion publicist Eleanor Lamber organized a "Press Week" for journalists to present fashion designers' creations of America, which are not usually paid no attention by the fashion media. Buyers were not invited to these shows, but had to visit the showrooms of designers. Press Week was an unqualified success, and fashion magazines like Vogue, which were normally filled with French designs, beagn increasingly focus on American fashion.
Some beauty products sponsor fashion weeks, and as L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, and L'Oreal Fashion Week, held in Toronto, because of the intrinsic relationship between fashion and beauty. Other fashion weeks are held to an exact type of the fashion, such as swimwear, lingerie or bridal couture. Fashion weeks are seen as fashion designer to make visible their collections and dissemination worldwide in a very short space of time. This shortens the time people will start to recognize, purchase and after the designer trends that end is the ultimate goal of the designer.
