Devil Wears Prada Fashion Great Lesson gives a touch of self-knowledge

Nobody makes a move deliberately false hope that leads to a large screw above. It does not happen that way. I have yet seen myself make a series of seemingly benign choices that eventually led me to a painful fate. In the film "The Devil Wears Prada", Anne Hathaway's character Andy Sachs gives us a big screen lesson about the decisions a little over a period of time can lead us to a place he would rather not gone.

DWP refuse begins with Andy Stanford Law School for a position at New York fashion editor Miranda Priestly magazine. Andy does not care about fashion or the position of manager himself, but he sees it as a first step in launching his journalism career. Your friends and family are scratching their heads wondering why he made that call, but support nonetheless.

What begins to everyone's surprise about Andy is how the constants Miranda demands of consumption. First one goes from a gray look to New York Midwest Sheikh. Thus we see repeatedly interrupting dinner with his father (who flies from out of town a brief visit) to organize flights Miranda for her to get out of Florida during hurricane season. Later we see her miss the party of her boyfriend's birthday because he could not escape a commitment afterhours.

Nearest to see the problem clearly. They note that the madness of everything, including the capture of herself committed. His reaction is pure and simple denial. She's convinced herself it's just a change of clothes. But those around (and we're looking at the movies) to see how is becoming addicted to deliver each application of Miranda.

As a father of three daughters, I found myself wincing a few times when he made some decisions clearly wrong. I found myself in the hopes that had come to his senses, thinking, "Why not see what happens to her?" But as I thought it some more, I realized that she had slid down the slippery slope myself know I've made.

I recalled my days when I did my DOT.COM called "super career move." He arrived with the promise of financial rewards to take my career to the next level. Learning opportunities were tremendous. I figured it was worth the sacrifice. What I did not realize is how quickly the excitement and stress of concert new set in. It was impossible for me to disconnect. I did acquire the knowledge and experience that drives my career to date. But looking back, I do not like the person I had become. More I can explain by describing myself as a rude guest house disconnected. My head was buried in the constant work when he could have been doing more of what little time I had at home.

The development of self-consciousness is one you have to "have" to stop this drift. It is clear that prevents us from taking too many steps that dark alley to avoid the danger that lurks ahead. Self-consciousness is my ability to recognize and acknowledge my mood, the state emotional and motivation in a given time. It is becoming knowledge and recognition of these internal drivers (many of which are deeply rooted) from the beginning so you can avoid their ability to take control.

Being aware of oneself is not easy. Not only that, the things you can find out about yourself can be really painful. See I am one of those who do not like to admit: "My actions say my work is more important than my wife of twenty-five and three daughters. "I'm not the type who likes to send the message faces when I'm perpetually postpone visiting my grandfather 89 years of age. Take care of him, but my action sometimes say otherwise.

For others it may mean having to face personal monsters of us prefer to remain silent hidden in the closet. Leave things as they are allows us to continue doing our thing with a clear conscience.

Of course, in these difficult economic times, there make sure to keep the job that pays the bills. We must stay focused and do my best. But all that leads us? What else outside our field of vision to push us do what we do? What can we do to increase our awareness of self and so avoiding problems before of looking at us right in our face?
