Couture Fashion Week NYC
Event producer Andres Aquino presented the prestigious award to Mr. Khansa on the night of September 9th to an audience of reporters enthusiastic international fashionistas. The presentation followed show the fashion designer who presented his latest haute couture collection of stunning designs created opulent fabrics with luxurious decorations, each piece more dazzling than the last.
Tani Keller of Germany was named "most innovative fashion designer" in recognition of his excellent collection of leather couture spring 2006 entitled "Garden of Eden." Each piece was a creation of haute couture original, a feast for the eyes.
The 3-day event showed the latest collections of a select group of international and American designers, presenting many in New York for the first time. For some designers for whom English is not their native language, the challenges include not only the frantic pace of putting on a fashion show, but also deal with cultural differences and the use of interpreters. Once the makeup was in place, wild hair just so, slipped on clothes and line models, the music began to pulse, the lights came on, and the first model appeared on the catwalk. Excitement built as
the cameras began to click and emerged creations of the designers. Couture had
landed in New York with a splash of many foreign lands.
The collections have names that reflect the philosophies and creative ways the designers.
From Latvia Anna Osmushkina presented "Heaven", designs weightlessness on natural fabrics woven by hand using original technology. Swarovski Ornaments and Kornelius precious stones, ostrich feathers, natural leathers and to larger and luxury. Anna's color palette is as airy as the dawn in shades of gold, bronze, pink, sky blue and white. handmade scarves and layers completed a number of feminine grace sets
Galina Dacheva of Bulgaria expressed its "Timeless Fashion Collection" based on the ancient craft of weaving, but accelerated to a sensitivity Jazzed modern. The collection is an amalgam of fashion and history.
