Among the half-shoes/half-claws demonstrated by Alexander McQueen and C hanel The spring of 2010 are shown in a barn with models smiling, I thought I had seen all that ridiculous Paris Fashion Week had to offer.
And then, in href = "http://www.bagsebay.com/louis-vuitton-c-1.html" Louis Vuitton spring 2010, the creative director Marc Jacobs saw> fit to fix bushy tail the bags. Yes, what happened.
As for the bags go, the show began ... terribly. Most of them appeared to be made of cotton fabric dip-dyed in candy colors with coordinating transmission additions in August on the back, sometimes bigger than the bag itself. After a dozen of looks, I thought I was expecting a very unpleasant sight.
But after a while, things began to look decidedly better. Not sure if was only the demo version as Stockholm syndrome, I suppose it is always possible, but things went a bit during the middle and end portions of show. Instead of canvas bags with animal parts hanging from them, Vuitton returned to the leather and embossed logos for fans are a little more accustomed.
Which is not to say that the bags were boring - they were not. The opposite, actually. And it was not entirely satisfactory, but I appreciate the combination of colors, materials and textures that Jacobs tried to make something new from one of the most recognizable logos in the world of fashion. The collection was heavy on messengers, and those leather logo combined with smooth colors were probably the best bags in the series, as well as the duffel bags made of similar textures. Please, Marc Jacobs, if you're out there, give the subject a rest bags with fringe. Thank you.
The more I look through the bags of the last half of the collection, more eclectic ideas and influences to grow on me, and I'm not sure what my final opinion will be once the dust of the fashion week has settled. One thing is sure, however, collections adventurers as Louis Vuitton, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen are the ones that make Paris the fashion prevailing in the city. New York must start doing.
