Few people know that Akon is actually the shortest form of his real name is actually Badara Alioune Thiam. Born for percussionist jazz Mor Thiam, Akon gave no indication of his stardom is near, even as a teenager when he was jailed for armed robbery and distribution charges drugs. Akon also launched his clothing line "Konvict clothing" that presents the urban street as denim, sweatshirts, shirts and hats. Aliaune is the deluxe version of this clothing line. Akon has really projected himself as a multi-dimensional artist with many shades to his personality. However, this also brings the risk of disputes and is especially true for an artist of his stature. Akon has been beset by criticism and controversy that occasionally and his previous start as a felon with a prison sentence for his name does not has done nothing to help things.
