Modern high-street fashion rather rubbish at the moment?
Is anyone else sick of fashion these days highstreets. I find it difficult find something to spend my money on! Everything seems loose / asymmetric or crazy prints. The shoes are like betty boops rejects all bright and very large and thick lol. I do not know I just think the style has become very peculiar in the last 5 years or so and are not the cute things used to be Ok .. trends as there were always leggings and things, but seems to be completely taking over ahhhh. Any opinions?
Just remember that fashion is decided by people trying to sell clothes, often at inflated prices. They change regularly to sell more and pay a lot of smiling idiots to push their styles on TV so the general public idiot buy because they are the "fashion". I do not know where you live but if you're in England you may remember the disasters like hot pants, loons, "said Frankie War 'shirts, platform soles, flares and so on. No one would be seen dead in those things now, but at the same time, should be " they have. "Personally I do not follow fashion." I can buy and wear what I like and if people do not like, then 'hard'. If more people refused to buy clothing that foisted such as "fashionable" then maybe these people begin to realize they can not dictate to us. I remember a few years of being in a train from London to Manchester and some poser of a fashion buyer was waving his mobile phone at all (were relatively new then) and called for their buyers seize the tartan cloth everything they could. Later I asked him why and he said he had been at a meeting of fashion in London and that's what I had decided that all would use the fall (autumn to the Yankees). Indeed in the fall of all the girls wore their dark green and brown plaids. Not seen any since however. I bet this guy made a killing.
