Why do some J pop / rock bands dress really ?.....?
Why is the tone of Japanese pop or rock artist dressed very strange? As in a coffee why dose Bou dress like a girl and the guy dressed all other visual kei (sorry if I missed writing) or in the other two bands I've seen (who were also Japanese rock) is also very girlie dress like girls, boys or even if there are very nice dress (not like there's a problem if there are homosexuals or anything, but no! They say there are no homosexuals in the interviews and the like) there is this other funky dresses like ... IdK dresses just weird ... Lady Gaga strange just very strange. XD I love but why? >> It is popular in Japan? What is the gene most popular music in Japan? Here in America, current is pop, is the same in Japan? Thanks ^ ^
Because the visual kei. VISUAL're a band. The whole concept of Visual Kei is from X Japan, and wanted to give people a visual shock. Today Visual Kei bands are dressed female and have a lot of makeup, look cute, etc. You should investigate this further. 
The most popular genre J-Pop. The group headed the charts are always pop-rock or pop. Just Visual Kei (The Gazette and SID is an exception) edit: in the first response: It is not really popular in Japan. It's an underground thing.
